12. I'm cleaning out my house and I've got all this stuff!
BEFORE you load up your vehicle, here’s what you need to know:
You must have a valid Wellfleet Transfer Station sticker on your vehicle to drop off everything except basic Recyclables. (See “Recycling” link)
There is no place to dump a mixed load. Items must be put into the proper places at the Transfer Station.
This means Recyclables must be recycled, Wood goes into the Demolition, Metal to the Metal Pile, Trash in the Purple PAYT bags, etc.
Many times, when cleaning out, you will find chemicals, cleaners, sealants, or just plain unknown liquids or aerosols. The Transfer Station does not have a place for these items. You must wait for one of the Household Hazardous Waste Days held all over the Cape to dispose of those items. The website is:
