Town Hall is open Monday - Friday 8 a.m.to Noon, and 1 p.m. to 4pm .

* 2026 Dog licenses will be available starting January 05,2026 - If we have a current rabies certificate, you will not need to provide another one.

Marriage intentions are by appointment only. Please call or email me for details. 

Vital Records only: ($10.00 per copy). 

• If you are in town you can: Call us with the date of the event. Leave the best number to reach you back at.
• We will call you when it is ready to pick up. Leave us a check in the locked box at the back door to Town hall;
• If you are out of Town, please send your request with a check made out to the Town of Wellfleet and send us a stamped self-addressed envelope. Please do not use the public records request form for vital records. 
• Or you can you the link below to order and pay for a vital record online. 
• If for some reason we are out of the office, you can also order vital records from the Registry of vital statistics in Boston. https://www.mass.gov/how-to/order-a-birth-marriage-or-death-certificate 
• Marriage intentions: We are currently scheduling Marriage intentions by appointment only. 

Business Certificates: ($20.00) Please email me (townclerk@wellfleet-ma.gov) with the following information:

• Your name, the name of your business, residence address where you are conducting business, and your mailing address.
• We will need to set an appointment so that you can sign the form in front of the Clerk.

Voter Registration: You can register to vote at the Secretary of The Commonwealth’s site. https://www.sec.state.ma.us/OVR/ or we can mail you a form.

        * Candidate papers: Please email me and let me know if you are mailing or dropping off and what your deadline is. 

• ZBA applications: Please call ahead to confirm that we will be in the office. 
• Public Records Requests. You can use the form in the list to the left or just email me. Please note; Public records requests will be responded to in order in which they are received. 
• Dog licenses- The tags are available in January, please use the form to the left ( follow all the directions) No tags will be processed without a check. Please note if you do not register your dog with the town you are subject to fines from the Animal Control officer . 
• Genealogy- This type of request can take a bit of time. Please email me with your request. You do not need to send a fee until I can make sure I have the documents you are looking for.
