Welcome, Introductions and Announcements
Note: WHC members may visit project sites and view the exterior of each property during the week before each monthly meeting. As we make decisions about proposals, we refer to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
1). 1546 Baker Avenue (1850): Proposal to move existing house, located in the Wellfleet Center National Register District, ten (10) feet south toward the street, demolish existing one-story extension on the east side and replace it with a two story addition to the house on the east elevation. A new rear stone patio will be connected to the addition with a double sided chimney, and “various windows will be replaced in kind”. (Presenter: Peter McDonald of Peter McDonald Architects; Property owners: John and Catherine Bueker)
2) 19 Schoolhouse Hill Rd (1800): Proposal to add a larger bedroom and dormers on the rear of building to improve headroom for bath, dormers on garage to improve storage (Presenter: David Rowell; Property owner: Katy Eppley).
