            Compact Trust – notification of a convocation

            Letter from owners of property at 479 Black Pond Road – new filing will be made

Lauren McKean – e-mail to Hillary Greenberg-Lemos regarding a floating dock on Herring Pond.

Registration open for MACC Conference, March 4.

Friends of Herring River – would like to have a discussion with the commission regarding project status.

Needs Assessment from Americorps.

Letter sent to Andrew C. Riley regarding wetland protection violation.  Selective cutting and pruning was performed within the buffer zone.  A fine of $1,200 was issued.

Olga Kahn stated more trees were cut on home owners land and common land.  A surveyor identified additional tree cutting.  Olga Kahn requested the commission recognize that she and other neighbors did not do any of the cutting.  Olga requested information on the Jurisdictional Opinion granted Mr. Riley.  Trudy Vermehren stated the commission will make another site visit.  Brush will be removed from the marsh which is in Conservation Trust property.  There will be no replanting. 

375 King Phillip Rd (Freed) – Agent Hillary Greenberg-Lemos will check the file.    Neighbor upset due to vista pruning / cutting.

Hiawatha Rd – 2nd house on right – many trees cut down, debris put in marsh – Agent Greenberg-Lemos will make a site visit.   

Complaints regarding Christmas Trees / drift fence on ocean side – Bob Boehringer has covered the entire bank with Christmas trees tied together in front of his property.  A drift fence has been placed next to the Krasting property at the bottom of the bank. 

Indian Neck – Ginie Page recommended a site visit to see the status of the trees due to lack of rain.

Agent Greenberg-Lemos stated Mike Flanagan informed her he has not issued any permits for any of the great lakes for floats.

Jurisdictional Opinions – work limit is within 100 foot zone – Rockwell Avenue – Hillary Greenberg-Lemos will authorize the work.

A Letter from Steve Oliver to the Board of Selectmen was read.  Much of the concerns are over the various chemicals used by the Mosquito Squad (Curt Felix, abutter).

Hearings 5:00 pm:

Sharp, 43 Commercial Street, Map 15, Parcel 111, Certificate of Compliance

This was a septic system and deck and is in compliance.  Trudy Vermehren moved to approve the Certificate of Compliance; seconded by Ginie Page; passed 3-0.  Agent Greenberg-Lemos will check with the Town Clerk regarding lack of quorum on the vote.

Haggerty, 615 Chequessett Neck Rd., Map 19, Parcel 118, Certificate of Compliance (Cont’d)  At the request of the applicant this will be continued to 02/15/17.

Trudy Vermehren moved to continue to 02/15/17; seconded by Ed; passed 3-0.

Ed Simpson moved to adjourn at 5:20 pm; seconded by Ginie Page; passed 3-0.
