Minutes of Meeting May 13, 2015

Present: Robert Jackson, Elaine McIlroy, Geraldine Ramer, Cary Rea, Gary Sorkin, Donald Thimas

Regrets: Kevin Carroll, Peter Hall, Janet Reinhart

 

Vice Chair Gary Sorkin called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.

 

Administrative Needs

Coordinator Mary Rogers said she would like to renew her contract as CPC Coordinator at a rate of $27.50 per hour.  Elaine McIlroy moved to approve a new one year contract at the rate of $27.50 per hour.  Gary Sorkin seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

 

Mary Rogers said that she would not be pursuing a purchase of a mobile printer, but will find out more about phone options since she no longer has an office phone line.    

 

Minutes

Rea moved to approve the minutes of March 11, 2015.  Ramer seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.

 

Town Meeting CPC Articles

Gary Sorkin reported on the Buy Down Article, which was approved at Annual Town Meeting.  Geraldine Ramer had presented Historic Form B’s, which also passed.  Elaine McIlroy reported on the Habitat Article and their Special Permit which is moving forward.  The Masonic Lodge and Historic Society Museum passed.  Robert Jackson reported on the discouraging vote against the Open Space project.  He expressed concern about the lack of respect paid to CPC’s and Open Space’s opinion.  The Committee discussed the failure of the Article. 

 

Grant Agreements

Grant agreements will be drawn up for the Masonic Lodge, Habitat for Humanity, the Historical Society Museum, the Buy Down project, and the Historic Form B’s.  The money for the approved projects will be available at the beginning of the new Fiscal Year, July 1, 2015.

 

Term Renewals

Geraldine Ramer, Gary Sorkin, Robert Jackson and Peter Hall have terms of office that will expire in June and need to renew their memberships if they plan to continue representation on CPC. 

 

 

Other Concerns

Bob Jackson suggested sending a message of support to Janet Reinhart for coping with the current illness in her family, and everyone agreed.

 

Agenda for Next Meeting

The agenda for the June 24, 2015 meeting will include: Project Updates, Members, Minutes and Mail.

 

Adjournment

Jackson moved to adjourn.  Rea seconded, and the motion carried 6 -0.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
