Minutes of Meeting March 11, 2015
Wellfleet Town Hall Hearing Room
Present: Peter Hall, Chair; Kevin Carroll, Robert Jackson, Elaine McIlroy, Geraldine Ramer, Cary Rea, Gary Sorkin,
Regrets: Janet Reinhart, Donald Thimas
Chair Peter Hall called the meeting to order at 9:01 a.m.
Minutes
Gary Sorkin moved to approve the minutes of January 14, 2015. Bob Jackson seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
Coalition Dues
Elaine McIlroy moved to approve payment of $1,750 to continue membership in the Community Preservation Coalition. Cary Rea seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
Recommendations for Annual Town Meeting Warrant
Percentages
McIlroy moved to recommend the Article for Fiscal Year 2016 percentages. Rea seconded and the motion carried 6-0.
Buy Down
Bob Jackson moved to recommend the Article for the Buy Down program sponsored by the Wellfleet Housing Authority and the Housing Partnership in the amount of $270,000. McIlroy seconded and the motion carried 6-0.
Historic Form B Inventories
Sorkin moved to approve Article for the Historic Form B Inventories. Rea seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
Habitat for Humanity
Jackson moved to recommend the Article for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod in the amount of $225,000. McIlroy seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
Adam’s Masonic Lodge
Rea moved to recommend the Article for Adam’s Masonic Lodge in the amount of $100,000. Ramer seconded and the motion carried 7-0.
262 Main St.
McIlroy moved to recommend the Article for the Wellfleet Historical Society towards the purchase of the mid-section of 262 Main Street in the amount of $189,000. Carroll seconded and the motion carried 6-0-1.
Drummer Cove Lot
Hall moved to recommend the Article23 for the Wellfleet Open Space Committee in the amount of $181,000 towards the purchase of the Drummer Cove Trail LInk lot. Rea seconded and the motion carried 6-0-1.
Article 24 (to be combined with Article 23 in the final Warrant)
Jackson moved to recommend the Article 24 with the corrected figure towards the purchase of the Drummer Cove Trail Link lot. Rea seconded, and the motion carried 6-0-1.
Coordinator’s Request
CPC Coordinator Mary Rogers announced the new hours she would be keeping at Wellfleet Town Hall and requested permission to purchase a portable printer suitable for letters, labels and other small printing tasks.
Gary Sorkin approved up to $200 for a portable printer and supplies. McIlroy seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
Agenda for the Next Meeting
The next meeting will take place May 13, 2015. Agenda will include: Town Meeting results, Agreements for Projects, Minutes and Mail.
Adjournment
Hall moved to adjourn. Carroll seconded, and the motion carried 7 -0.
The meeting was adjourned by consensus at 9:35 a.m.
