Application Round for Special Town Meeting

Gary Sorkin said that he had spoken to Interim Town Administrator Charlie Sumner, who supported the CPC proposal to open a round of grant applications.  The consensus at the last meeting had been to go ahead with the plan with an early August deadline even though an Accounting report on CPA funds is not yet completed.

Jan Plaue moved to offer a CPA grant deadline of August 16, 2021 for allowable projects, subject to funds being available for approval at a Special Town Meeting in fall.  Mike Fisher seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.

CPC members will bring the new round of applications to the attention of their respective committees to propose any time sensitive projects that could benefit from approval before Annual Town Meeting 2022.   The new round and application deadline of Monday, August 9, 2021 will be published in local newspapers and on Radio Station WOMR.

Next Meeting

The next meeting was scheduled for August 18 at 1 p.m. for presentation and approval of new applications.

Adjournment

Elaine McIlroy moved to adjourn.  Mike Fisher seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:23 a.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Mary Rogers
