Change orders of greater than $ must be approved by the full School

Committee after review and recommendation by the School Building Committee:
The School Building Committee shall evaluate for cost and effectiveness all proposed change orders between $25,000 and $______________and shall make recommendations to the Superintendent as to approval or disapproval of such proposed change orders. Final decision on such change orders shall be at the discretion of the Superintendent. (Possible alternative: change orders of up to $_________ may be approved by the School Building Committee, acting on behalf of the School Committee, after consultation with the Superintendent).
Change orders of $25,000.00 or less may be approved by the Superintendent or by __________________________ without first seeking the recommendation of the school

Building Committee.
In the event of an emergency which requires action on a change order in excess of $25,000, the Superintendent or_________________________has the power to approve the same without first seeking the recommendation of the School Building Committee, provided however, that such person will seek the input of the School Committee Chair before approving additional funds.
