Welcome, Introductions and Announcements

Note:  WHC members may visit project sites and view the exterior of each property during the week before each monthly meeting.  As we make decisions about proposals, we refer to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

 

1).   131 Rockwell Avenue:  Proposal to replace the asphalt roof on 1930 home with an aluminum metal shingle roof. (Presenter:  Kyle Keegan of East Coast Metal Roofing;  Property owner: William Blount)

2).   258, 262, & 266 Main Street:   Proposal for addition in rear of Wellfleet Historical Society and Museum building (258 ca. 1850; 266 ca. 1854) at location of previously demolished structure (which address?).  Renovation and repair of interior per plans dated 10/1/21. (Presenter:  Brian Hopkins, Builder or Steven Hayes, Architect?);  Property owners: Eric Winslow, VP or John Connors?) 

3)  276 Main Street:  Proposal to replace windows and roof, renovate kitchen and bathroom, add rear deck on this home in the Historic District built ca. 1890 (Presenter:  Mark Hammer, AIA; Property Owners:  Erica & John Hurvitz)

4) 90 Lieutenant Island Rd:  Proposal to install 24 roof mounted solar panels on this 1775 home (we only have building permit application;  no WHC application)

5).  New WHC Application, and followup with Building Department (Gordon Kahn and Merrill Mead-Fox)

6). Design Guidelines update (Gordon Kahn and Merrill Mead-Fox)

7)  Lynn Smiledge’s Presentation for the WHC on 10/25/21

8)  Meeting with Selectboard 10/26/21

9) Form Bs/Historic Plan (Jim McAuliffe, Susan Baker and Merrill Mead-Fox):  

New contract for Lynn Smiledge to continue to update Wellfleet’s Historic Inventories (Form Bs). Susan Baker’s work on organizing Form Bs on WHC Google Drive.  We will resume filing Form Bs at the Wellfleet Library after we get printed copies of updated forms.
