Note: WHC members may visit project sites and view the exterior of each property during the week before each monthly meeting. As we make decisions about proposals, we refer to the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

290 Paine Hollow Road:   Proposal to install 14 black roof mounted solar panels on front, southeast facing roof of home built in 1804 (Presenter: Jamie Wood; Property owners: Robin and Jennifer Parkinson)

131 Rockwell Avenue: Proposal to replace the asphalt roof on home built in 1930 with an aluminum metal shingle roof. (Presenter: Kyle Keegan of East Coast Metal Roofing; Property owner: William Blount)

New WHC Application, and followup with Building Department (Gordon Kahn and Merrill Mead-Fox)

Community Preservation (Jim McAuliffe):

The Wellfleet Community Preservation Committee (CPC) will conduct a public hearing with the Selectboard in December or January to discuss current community needs in four domains: Community Housing, Historic Preservation, Open Space, and Recreation. The CPC will review and discuss the 2021 community needs at its 10/20/2021 meeting, and has requested that the WHC discuss and update list of Historic Preservation needs in advance of this meeting.

Form Bs/Historic Plan (Jim McAuliffe, Susan Baker and Merrill Mead-Fox):

New contract for Lynn Smiledge to continue to update Wellfleet’s Historic Inventories (Form Bs). Susan Baker’s work on organizing Form Bs on WHC Google Drive. We will resume filing Form Bs at the Wellfleet Library after we get printed copies of updated forms.
