August 11: Selectboard Meeting Decision

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 to extend the beach sticker season through September 27, 2020, as recommended by the Beach Administrator.

July 14: Selectboard Meeting Decision

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 4-1 that, in accordance with Section 2-6-1 of the Wellfleet Charter, and in light of the Selectboard’s March 17th emergency declaration regarding the COVID-19 virus, to rescind the vote of April 28, 2020 which set October 5, 2020 as the date of the Wellfleet Annual Town Meeting and schedule the Wellfleet Annual Town Meeting for Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 10AM with a rain date of Sunday, September 13, 2020 and a subsequent rain date of Monday, September 14, 2020. 

June 16: Selectboard Meeting Decision

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 4-0 that McGuire Landing (LeCount Hollow Beach) be reserved only for resident and non-resident taxpayer beach stickers through Labor Day, 2020.

June 9: Selectboard Meeting Decision

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 4-1 that the use of town property, after having been vetted by the Board of Health, Police and Fire, be considered by the Selectboard on a case by case basis.
  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that the sale of visitor beach stickers commence on June 13, 2020.

May 26: Selectboard Meeting Decision

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 to not sell seasonal recreational shellfishing permits (resident and nonresident) for the 2020 season.

May 12: Selectboard Meeting Decisions

  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that the required date for Beach Stickers be moved up from the third Saturday in June to May 20, 2020 for this year.
  • It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that only resident beach stickers and combination stickers be allowed to enter the parking areas starting May 20th.
    • If you have a 2019 Season Resident/Taxpayer sticker, or have purchased a 2020 Season sticker, both will be accepted for entry.

April 28: Selectboard Meeting Decisions

  1. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 4-1 that the main, day-pass, parking lot at White Crest Beach be closed for the 2020 summer season in order to limit visitors to Town beaches as recommended by the Beach Administrator.
  2. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that the July 4th Parade be canceled.
  3. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that all Town buildings be closed through May 18.
  4. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 3-2 that, in accordance with the Board vote on March 24th , that no future applications for events requesting the use of Town property be accepted for the remainder of the 2020 calendar year and that all previously approved events cannot occur.  
  5. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that, in accordance with Section 2-6-1 of the Wellfleet Charter and in light of the Selectboard’s March 17th emergency declaration regarding the COVID-19 virus, to rescind the vote of March 24, 2020 which set June 1st, 2020 as the date of the Wellfleet Annual Town Meeting and schedule the Wellfleet Annual Town Meeting for October 5, 2020 at 6PM.
  6. It was moved, seconded, and passed by a vote of 5-0 that, in accordance with Chapter 45 of the Acts 2020 for the State of Massachusetts, to postpone the Wellfleet Town Election to June 15, 2020.
