Minutes of Meeting April 30, 2014
Wellfleet Town Hall Hearing Room
Present: Peter Hall, Chair; Elaine McIlroy, Geraldine Ramer, Janet Reinhart, Gary Sorkin, Donald Thimas
Regrets: Jan Plaue, Deirdre Poole, Trudy Vermehren
Chair Peter Hall called the meeting to order at 9:06 a.m.
Minutes
Gary Sorkin moved to recommend the minutes of February 26, 2014. Reinhart seconded, and the motion carried 6-0.
The Open Space Committee had submitted a notice for a public hearing on May 21, 2014 for the purpose of obtaining input and comments about updating the Open Space and Recreation Plan.
Review of Town Meeting
The Committee reviewed the CPA Warrant Articles that were approved at Annual Town Meeting on April 28, 2014. Committee members were pleased that the projects will move forward with the approval of the voters.
Agreements & Signs for Projects
CPC reviewed which projects need to have contractual agreements drawn up and which projects need temporary signs.
Project Concerns & Comments
Gary Sorkin discussed funding for a Housing requisition for Self Help home loan.
Elaine McIlroy said that there would be a groundbreaking ceremony at the Gull Pond Affordable Homes site on Thursday, May 1, 2014. The Wellfleet Forum’s May 19 program will be devoted to Affordable Housing, Elaine McIlroy said.
Agenda for Next Meeting
Agenda for the June 25, 2014 meeting will include: Needs Hearing ideas, Project updates, Coordinator’s salary, and Status of 2008 Housing Self Help funds.
Pie Chart of Percentages
CPC reviewed the pie chart of percentages for each category of CPA funds from 2006 to the present, including the new projects approved at Town Meeting.
Adjournment
Sorkin moved to adjourn. Reinhart seconded. The motion carried 6-0. The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
