Short-Term Rental Registration Instructions

 

  1. To apply for a short-term rental certificate:
  2. Go to Short Term Rental Registration
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Forms & Permits
  4. Select Building Dept
  5. Select Application for Short-Term Rental Registration
  6. Create an account in the portal and follow the town’s instructions to fill out your information.  You’ll need to provide:

               a. Personal Information: Full name, permanent address, email address, phone number

               b. Listing information: property address, type of dwelling, unit # (if applicable) number of bedrooms, number of max occupants

               c. Inspection Information: Functioning smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector*, deck railings*, stair railings*, swimming pool fencing* and                         dwelling has two means of egress  *if applicable

               d. Additional Local Contact: Full name, email address and phone number

               e. Documentation: Property Ownership (title or deed, property tax record), owner authorization (if another party/non-owner is registering rental                     property)

 

Pay the non-refundable application and inspection fee

Submit your application

Once you receive your registration approval, you will receive an email link to schedule your home inspection.

Once home inspection is complete and approved, you will be emailed a short-term rental certificate
