Minutes of Meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2014

Wellfleet Senior Center, 7:00 p.m.

Present: Gerald Parent, Chair; Jan Morrissey, R. Dennis O’Connell, Alfred Pickard, Janet Reinhart

Regrets: Andrew Freeman, Eric Larsen, Planner Patrice Carson

Minutes of 9/03/2014

Motion to approve amended minutes of September 3, 2014 was made by D. O’Connell, seconded by Pickard, and motion carried 5-0.

Janet Reinhart resigned as Clerk. Either Secretary Mary Rogers or new Town Planner will be asked to take on the duty of mail log.

A notice from the Barnstable County HOME Consortium requesting a representative for the Advisory Council was circulated.

Janet Reinhart will ask the Wellfleet Housing Authority and Housing Partnership to inform Secretary Mary Rogers of their meeting times to be forwarded to our board.

Amendment to FEMA 2014 By-Law

Chair G. Parent will ask Planner Carson to confer with TA Terkanian about updating the by-law by possibly using the word “current” rather than citing a particular building code section.

Sign by-Laws

Don Thimas asked about the legality of a recent “billboard” sign and also signs on the side of ATM machines. Board discussed with him the by-laws we are now working on.

A new height limit of 10’ is being considered, along with other considerations.

Home Occupation & Service Trade By-Laws

Draft by-laws were once again reviewed and revised. Jan Morrissey will make the new revisions and send to Secretary Mary Rogers.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
