7:00 pm

  1. Jeffrey W. Glaze, 90 Beach St. , Map 35, Parcel 31:  Application for a Special Permit under WZB 6.1.5 to enclose three sections of existing deck to increase habitable area and building new deck on front of dwelling (Cont’d from 12/19/13).  Roger Putnam recused himself.  The Board consisted of Vern Jacob, Bruce Drucker,  William Nicholson, Mick Lynch and Sibel Asantugrul.  Chet Lay represented the applicant and stated he was not familiar with the original filing and distributed revised site plans.  He stated the elevations previously submitted were correct but the new site plan dated 01/16/14 identifies the existing lot coverage as 14.17% and the proposed lot covered with the additions would be 17.86%.  The Board was in agreement that they felt this proposal was very significant for a small lot and that the existing dwelling is already within the setbacks.  Chet Lay stated he would go back to the applicant with the Board’s concerns.  Vern Jacob moved to continue to February 6, 2014; seconded by Mick Lynch, passed 5-0.

Bruce Drucker moved to approve the amended 12/19/13 meeting minutes; seconded by Roger Putnam; passed 5-0.

Sibel Asantugrul advised the Board there would be a meeting for Town department heads and regulatory committee members regarding the new health center on Friday, January 17 at 1:00 pm.  She stated this meeting is a preliminary discussion regarding the location and construction and not intended for guidance or input from the boards.  The project will have to go before the Conservation Commission and the Planning Board.  It will require Cape Cod Commission review as well.  Roger Putnam stated he would attend the meeting on behalf of the Cape Cod Commission.

Bruce Drucker stated he was invited to a meeting on January 23, 2014 with the Housing Authority regarding a project they would like to see go forward with three affordable units on a property that already has one dwelling located on it.  He stated he will explain the bylaws in general but not give opinions on the specific project.

Mick Lynch moved to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 pm; seconded by Roger Putnam; passed 5-0.

Respectfully submitted,

Christine A. Bates

Committee Secretary
