Updates: Board and Committee Meetings During COVID-19

Hello,

Thank you to all - we commend the citizens of Wellfleet, as well as our volunteer board and committee members and staff, for being able to quickly pivot to and learn how to use new technology to ensure Town matters can continue being handled accordingly.

Staff continues to take steps to ensure that Zoom meetings run efficiently and easily for our participants and members of the meetings. Please find attached below two memos: 1) Updates to Zoom Meetings to Reduce Technical Difficulties; and 2) Board and Committee Meetings During COVID-19, which addresses the use of Zoom as we move into the cooler months and has attachments including a response from the Attorney General's Office and the 3-12-2020 Open Meeting Law Order.

In addition, please find these links below for helpful Zoom tips:

We would like to remind Boards and Committees to please reach out to their designated Committee Secretary or Courtney.butler@wellfleet-ma.gov to schedule their Zoom meetings. If you are nervous or wish to learn more about how to use Zoom, as a participant or host, please know that we welcome your questions and are here for support.

We want to reassure everyone that we take every measure we can to ensure meetings that take place on Zoom are safe from hackers, publicly accessible, and as easy to attend and participate in as possible. We thank you all again for your patience and understanding during these last 6 months and look forward to continuing the good work we all do.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Congel, Town Clerk and Courtney Butler, Executive Assistant
