PUBLIC HEARING

In accordance with MGL Chapter 130 Sections 52, 57, 58, 60 and 62 and all applicable Town Shellfish Regulations, notice is hereby given that the Wellfleet Selectboard will hold a hybrid public hearing on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. to consider the following:

  • Application received 9/21/2023 for the transfer of shellfish grant license #01-03 consisting of three acres off Indian Neck from David Seitler (Wellfleet, MA) and Melissa Yow (Wellfleet, MA) to David Seitler.
  • Application received 9/21/2023 for the transfer of shellfish grant license #85-D and #85D-A consisting of a total of three acres on Indian Neck from Todd Mindrebo (Wellfleet, MA) and Carol A. Mindrebo (Wellfleet, MA) to Todd Mindrebo, Carol A. Mindrebo and Melissa Yow (Wellfleet, MA).
  • Application received 9/21/2023 for the transfer of shellfish grant license #85D-AB consisting of two acres on Indian Neck from Todd Mindrebo (Wellfleet, MA) and Carol A. Mindrebo (Wellfleet, MA) to Melissa Yow (Wellfleet, MA).
  • Recommendation of the Shellfish Constable will be available in the 10/17/2023 Selectboard’s packet.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF AVAILABILITY OF SHELLFISH AQUACULTURE GRANT

LICENSE NUMBERS: 851, 01-06-B1, 01-06-B2, 792-B1, 792-B2

In accordance with MGL Chapter 130 Sections 52, 57, 58, 59, 60, and 62, Section 7.2. Previously Established Grants that Become Available in the Town of Wellfleet’s Shellfishing Policy and Regulations and all other applicable town shellfish regulations, notice is hereby given that the Wellfleet Selectboard will hold a hybrid public hearing October 17, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. to conduct lotteries for the above-listed shellfish grants. The lottery will be conducted one-by-one in the order listed above

  • The Shellfish Department will have applications printed out and available at their office at the pier. Applications will also be available to download from the Town of Wellfleet website on the Shellfish Dept. webpage. Applications and the required supporting documentation must be delivered to Shellfish Constable Nancy Civetta directly or emailed to Nancy.civetta@wellfleet-ma.gov by the deadline of Friday, September 29, at 4:00 p.m. No exceptions will be made.
  • Any individual who submitted an application for the lotteries that took place on December 20, 2022, only needs to fill out the application and submit it with a five-year business plan. No further back-up documentation is necessary, as the Shellfish Department still has it on file.
