Recreation Committee Members Present: Christine Bezio, Ruth Marriott, Kevin Scalley

Members absent:  Kerry Cox, Rhonda Fowler

Others present: Becky Rosenberg

Call to Order:  7:15pm

Minutes from October 31, 2018 meeting:  Minutes were not approved, omitted in error from agenda, continue.

Portable Toilets: Discussion continued from last meeting. Own versus rent, the money is already appropriated by the town.  According to BR, DPW is concerned with maintenance, storage, overflow issues etc, rental fee is too high.  BR also reports that porta potty funding is back in place for summer 2019. Due to the lack of portable toilets at Baker’s Field, the public is underserved currently. Monies appropriated at town vote are still in fund.  The committee members present recommends inquiring about installing a hand washing station and a portable unit with changing tables. Continued at next meeting.

Final Tennis Court Bill: Suzanne Grout Thomas has requested an internal audit of the contracts. Monies are still coming out of the recreation budget, there is no procurement officer in Town, in the past projects always went through the procurement officer, not department heads.  Will need a transfer of money a town meeting. Continue.

Budget: BR reports that she has requested additional monies for part time staff funding needed for additional programs being added with the concept of using Wellfleet Elementary school and Nauset Regional high school for the community.  Continue.

Next meeting will be at WES, 7:00 PM on 12/13/18 changed to 1/10/2019

CB made the motion to adjourn, KS seconded, motion approved.  Meeting adjourned at 8:06 pm
