Committee reminded than all need to be sworn in as reappointed members by the town clerk .
Tom S has discussed sitting in on NRAB meetings with John Riehl.
Several WCT walks with be scheduled this summer on Trust properties. We have volunteered to participate.
Standing Assignments
Property Management: Town property inspection has been completed with much help form Americorps volunteer Sasha Bern. A successful clean-up day was held in May with several OSC member participating.
Trail Guides: Lynn S: Box Turtle guides have been reprinted with funds from WCT.
Liaison Reports
WCT: Bruce H. Annual meeting at COA on 8/15/15. Speaker Neal Shurin. All are welcome. Annual September walk to be held in Lecount Hollow area on Sept 12.
Friends of Herring River: Lynn S. Search for a paid executive director is being conducted. Bookkeeper has moved into new office space on Hwy 6. Public meeting regarding potential flooded property near High Toss Road to be held on 6/2
Housing partnership: Bruce H.: 2 buy downs approved at town meeting.
3 Habitat for Humanity houses on Old Kings Highway approved by Planning Board
Old Business
Drummer Cove property remains on market.
Update of Open Space Plan. To be reviewed by subcommittee.
Wellfleet Elementary School. Bob J has been discussing options with 3rd grade teacher Laney O’Keefe. There is exposure to conservation and open space issues from Audubon and Nat. Sea Shore at the school. Bob will be conducting an activity on 6/23 perhaps using maps showing open space in Town and providing trail guides of WCT properties.
Properties for Consideration
We will review town property lists and maps before the next meeting and decide on a list to concentrate on for presentation at the spring Town Meeting for protection under Conscom.
