                                                April 13, 2018 9:00 AM

                                          Town Hall Conference Room

 

Present: Elaine McIlroy, Chair, Mia Baumgarten, Richard Ciotti, Gary Sorkin. Call to order 9:07

  1. A motion to approve the March 1, 2018 minutes it being noted that the warrant Articles recommended in action items 6 – 11 were numbered 15 through 20 on the draft and 17 through 22 on the revised published warrant but were otherwise the same. Approve 4-0

  2. A motion to pay the Freeman Law Group the amount of $4226.75 for work related to the Fred Bell Way/ Sexton case pending the approval of a free cash transfer to the WHA at Town Meeting for legal defense costs. Approve 4-0.

  3. A motion to pay Freeman Law Group the amount $427.75 for Home Owners Association and protective covenants work related to 2082 State Highway Rt. 6 to be submitted to Orleans Housing Authority for payment from the 2082 Rental Account. Approved 4-0

  4. A motion to pay $4440 in Regular Rental Assistance for My 2018. Approve 4-0.

  5. A motion to pay $400 in extended Rental Assistance for May 2018. Approve 4-0.

  6. A motion to support a Housing Partnership motion for indefinite postponement of Article 25 on the Warrant at Town Meeting. Approve 4-0

  7. Gary and Elaine met with an engineer from East Cape Engineering to look at the “Old COA” site with an eye toward possibilities for Affordable Housing.

  8. Elaine and Gary continue to work on resolving the issues relating to the sale of 20 Oyster Lane. WHA is presently awaiting assistance from DHCD.

  9. A motion to authorize up to $1000 for the Ft. Devens Housing Institute expenses in early June. Approve 4-0

  10. WHA will meet with HPC to review the process and procedures related to the administration of the rental assistance programs.

  11. Article 51 of the Warrant for Town Meeting is the Executive Summary of the Housing Needs Assessment/ Production Plan.
