Minutes of Meeting of June 22, 2016
Wellfleet Senior Center, 7:00 PM
Members Present: Stephen Polowczyk, Chair, Sam Bradford, Arlene Kirsch, Janet Loewenstein, Linda Pellegrino, Robert Wallace, Ira Wood
Members Absent: Kathy Granlund, Fred Magee, Liz Sorrell,
Also Attending: ATA Brian Carlson, TA Harry Terkanian
Chair Polowczyk called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
Board Reorganization
Wood nominated Stephen Polowczyk to continue as the Chair of the Finance Committee; Pellegrino seconded; the motion passed 5-0-1.
Chair Polowczyk nominated Janet Loewenstein as the Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee; Wood seconded; the motion passed 5-0-1.
Bradford arrived after the vote.
Review Liaison Assignments
Kirsch volunteered to be the liaison to the Police Department and the Buildings and Needs Assessment Committee.
Magee was nominated to be liaison for the Energy Committee.
Sorrell was nominated to be liaison to the Nauset Regional Schools.
Granlund was nominated to be liaison to the Recreation Department
It was noted that the Finance Committee still needs one more alternate member.
Fiscal Year 2018 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
The Committee scheduled a public hearing to consider the FY18 CIP on Tuesday, July 12 at 7:00 PM. Year-end transfers will also be considered.
TA Terkanian stated that he has acquired a Community Compact Grant from the Commonwealth for an Improved CIP Process. He will likely be hiring the Collins Center out of UMass to assist in revamping how the CIP plan and timeline.
The Committee reviewed the FY18 CIP documents with TA Terkanian and ATA Carlson.

Kirsch made the motion to approve the Finance Committee Minutes from April 20, 2016 as amended; Loewenstein seconded; the motion passed 7-0.
Wood made the motion to approve the Finance Committee Minutes from April 25, 2016; Loewenstein seconded; the motion passed 7-0.
