Minutes of Meeting October 22, 2014

Present: Peter Hall, Chair; Robert Jackson, Elaine McIlroy, Geraldine Ramer, Janet Reinhart, Campbell Rea, Donald Thimas, Kevin Carroll

Chair Peter Hall opened the meeting at 9:01 a.m.

Welcome

Campbell (Cary) Rea, representative from the Conservation Commission, joined the CPC.  The Committee welcomed the newest member of the CPC

Minutes

Reinhart moved to approve the minutes of September 24, 2014. Ramer seconded, and the motion carried 6-0. 

Mail

CPC had received an e-mail notification of being included in a listing of all grants by Grant Watch.1  Open Space and Recreation opportunities need to be added to the listing.

Elder Housing Proposal

The Housing Authority will be conducting a survey on Elder Housing needs and hopes that all CPC members will help with the distribution of the survey.  UMass Dartmouth has helped develop the survey. 

Anticipated Projects

Anticipated projects for Community Housing include a Habitat for Humanity home and another Buy Down offering.   There are three Historic applications expected: Masonic Hall, Form B Registrations for Historic buildings and Phase 2 of the cemetery rehabilitation. 

Funds for Next Year

Accountant Marilyn Crary and CPC Coordinator had calculated the estimated revenue for Fiscal Year 16.2   Coordinator Mary Rogers reviewed these and the Fund Balance with the Committee.  She will reexamine them with the Accountant.

Project Updates

Coordinator Mary Rogers and Committee members reviewed the October updates on CPA funded projects.3

Annual Needs Hearing List

The Committee checked over the 2014 Needs List4 that Mary Rogers will be presenting at the Needs Hearing on October 28, 2014.

 

Agenda for Next Meeting

The agenda for the November 19, 2014 meeting will include the first review of the new applications for projects and finances.

Adjournment

Reinhart moved to adjourn.  Jackson seconded, and the motion carried 8-0. 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:55 a.m.
