Minutes of Meeting September 24, 2014

Wellfleet Town Hall Hearing Room

Present: Peter Hall, Chair; Robert Jackson, Elaine McIlroy, Deirdre Poole, Geraldine Ramer, Janet Reinhart, Gary Sorkin, Donald Thimas, Trudy Vermehren

Chair Peter Hall opened the meeting at 9:04 a.m.

Minutes

Sorkin moved to approve the minutes of June 25, 2014. Reinhart seconded, and the motion carried 7-0-1. 

Anticipated Projects

Board members anticipated Historic projects for Registry Form B updates and rehabilitation of the Masonic Lodge.  Housing representatives said that Habitat is planning a house on Old King’s Highway.  The highly successful Buy-Down program will be applied for again. Possibly a Senior Affordable Housing project in the site adjacent to the COA will be coming forward with an application in November. 

Project Updates

Elaine McIlroy said that Habitat will be coming to Planning Board for Special Permits for three houses off Long Pond Road.  Gary Sorkin reported on the RFP for construction of AADUs at 2082 State Highway. 

Needs Hearing Plans

Coordinator Mary Rogers said the Annual Needs Hearing is scheduled for October 28, 2014 as a part of the Board of Selectmen’s meeting. 

Agenda for Next Meeting

Agenda for the October 22, 2014 meeting will include: an Elder Housing project, Financial Projections, Preparation for the Needs Hearing, Project Updates, and Expected Projects. 

Membership Alteration

Trudy Vermehren announced that she would no longer be the representative from the Conservation Commission.  A new representative will join CPC at the next meeting. 

Adjournment

Reinhart moved to adjourn.  Jackson seconded, and the motion carried 9-0. 

The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
