Which Board or Committee has to be hybrid?

What is hybrid?

  • Hybrid is a meeting that takes place both in person and virtually (zoom, microsoft teams etc) with the ability to record.

Who has to have a hybrid meeting?

  • Regulatory Boards must be hybrid or Zoom only.

What Boards are Regulatory?

  • Planning Board
  • Zoning Board of Appeals
  • Board of Water Commissioners
  • Conservation Commission
  • Board of Health
  • Selectboard

How does this work?

  • If any of the above boards want to meet in person the meeting MUST be hybrid and a quorum of the board MUST be in person. For example; a 7 person board 4 members MUST be physically at the meeting. 3 Members can be remote.

Where can we hold a hybrid meeting?

  • Hybrid meetings right now can only be held at the Adult Community Center (715 Old King's Highway) in the large room. The board chair, member or their designated secretary must call in advance to reserve the room before posting the meeting.
  • Once the room is booked the media staff needs to be informed. For that you can call the town hall and ask for Rebekah Eldridge who will set up the recording with the media services people.
  • If you plan to continue Hybrid meetings make sure you give your schedule to Rebekah so she can reserve the media staff.
