Attended by Bonnie Robicheau, Nancy Vail, David Agger Guests: Chief  Ron Fisette, Richard Robicheau

Agenda

  1. Agreed to bid for split rail fencing for eight corners in newly cleared sections

  2. Reviewed chronology of repairs (as of march 2018)/recent damage (sometime between march-May 2018) done to Stubbs Family headstones (five). Chief Fisette attended meeting and reported on uncertainty about causes for broken/fallen headstones in

Pleasant Hill and Oakdale and Duck Creek

Chief  Fisette proposed placing trail cameras in areas where any future repaired             headstones are located. He asked to be given advanced notice when future work is done     so police can assigned to patrol the cemeteries more intensively.

David reported on meeting with TA Dan Hoort regarding commission concerns about

the quality of mowing (suspected damage to headstones and corner markers by mowers

and weed wackers), and responsiveness of DPW staff.

  1. Revisited priorities for future repairs and stabilization of headstones in PH and Oakdale.

Decided to focus on stabilization of headstones in jeopardy of falling down and becoming damaged

Each commissioner will individually walk a section of PH/Oakdale and identify potential target headstones. We will meet and then identify priority stones based on budget.

  2. Bob Devaney will be requested to complete restoration of no more than three additional headstones in Duck creek Cemetery. He will be told that there are no funds to re-repair the five Stubbs family headstones in PH. If he provides us with an estimate for additional repairs, we will contact the Stubbs Family heirs and ask if they are interested in funding this project. If not, then we will leave the headstones where they lie.

  3. Nancy reported that private abutters on the south Entrance side of PH/Oakdale was requesting repairs to pipe fencing on this side abutting his property. Nancy will follow up and visit the site.

  4. John Fougere completed his work at newly cleared Section D, E, F with adding fill and leveling. He submitted a bill for an additional $6,850.00 which has been paid.

He will complete hydro-spraying in the Fall for an additional cost.

  5. David and Richard will complete the measuring and plotting Section D,E, F by The Fall. At that time, we will purchase rebar and marker discs to identify 20x20 plots.

(David will do initial staking during course of the summer and then commission will review this work before next step of staking with 20x20 section, 3 foot aisles, (no aisle necessarily needed between edge of roads and plots) with gps buttons with rebar stakes. Nancy will ask DPW for the measuring wheel and David will pick it up).
