Minutes of April 12, 2016  meeting: Approved.

Reports

Chair, Nancy Rea:  Successful passage at TM of Articles 45 & 46 proposed by OSC for protection of marshland properties under Conscom. (details in previous minutes).

Surprise announcement that Nancy will be moving to Woods Hole. A new committee chair will be selected soon.

Standing Assignments

Property Management, Bob Jackson:  Maggie Gardner (Americorps) has completed inspections of all conservation properties. Town Conscom protected properties were inspected in the fall and WCT properties in the spring. Nancy will send thanks to Maggie for all her efforts this year and attend a BOS meeting to thank her publicly. May 21 is set as clean up date for Town and WCT trails. An e-mail will be sent announcing time and place

Dog leash regulations: Letter noted in Ptown Banner regarding loose dogs. Wellfleet Town brochure for 2016 clearly spells out dog regulations (p.5).

Trails Guides: Bob & Lynn will work with WCT in preparing guide to new “link lot”.

Liaison Reports

WCT, Bruce Hurter:  Link Lot—clean up on work day.  Sulski property on Pine Ave - trade with WCT to facilitate trail development.  Doak property on Lt. Is,- exploring possible tax credit.  Hamblen Farm…a portion being protected.  Goss Rd. - owner of a non-buildable lot exploring tax options of donation or sale.  Tree cutting of land abutting WCT-discussion of responsible parties. Kayak rack at Old Wharf Rd.—management under discussion.

FHR: Article to preserve access to High Toss Rd voted down at TM

Housing Partnership, Bruce:  Habitat for Humanity project on hold again after neighbors have filed suit.

Old Business

Open Space Plan:  No new input from State.

Town Meeting:  Both OSC sponsored Articles passed. See above.

Children’s trail worksheet: No new information. Bob awaiting input from PTA chair.

Properties for consideration

A lot near Mayo Creek might become available. Further details not clear yet.

Other properties—see Agenda list—no new activity.
