135 Pine Point Road
Curt Farnsworth and family are considering demolition of the main house, ells, and outbuildings. He is also
looking into estimates to lift the house, the feasibility of winterizing it, adding dormers for ventilation, etc. His
demolition permit application is for wood shed at western property line. [The lots to the east and west are
buildable, one is sold, the other is in the process of being sold].
Burks explained Wellfleet's 18-month demolition delay process and noted that 135 Pine Point Road is listed as a
'Contributing' structure in the Pine Point Road Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. As
such, the Wellfleet Historical Commission can request Cape Cod Commission review of any substantial
demolition plans.
Notes:
DR "Iconic Cape Cod house"
NW "Antique Cape; would hate to see it go"
MB "Dates from the town's period of significance" -- often points it out to friends on walks along Duck Creek
LV Options could include modernizing the back of the house
Mr. Farnsworth plans to apply for a demolition permit to "get the process moving"
Historic Preservation Plan Contract / Form B Contract
Members reviewed and edited the draft contracts and combined them. Ranalli suggested extending the due date
could reduce costs. Members agreed. Burks will confer with Asst. Town Administrator Brian Carlson, on next
steps.
At this point, the Commission took questions from David Sadowsky

quorum]
Burks moved to adjourn, Watkins seconded, all in favor.
