Minutes of the Meeting of March 22, 2017

Council on Aging

7:00 p.m.

Present: Richard Elkin, Charles Cole, Lilli-Ann Green, Jeff Tash and Robert Shapiro

Alternate members: ChristiAne Mason and David Meade-Fox

Chair Elkin called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m.

A request to tape record the meeting by Lilli-Ann Green was made and the request

was granted by the Wellfleet Energy Committee (WEC) Chair, Elkin.

BUSINESS

Minutes of the February 22, 2017 meeting1:

Motion: Tash moved to accept minutes as emailed with agenda of meeting.

Seconded by Shapiro. The motion carried 5-0.

Comprehensive Plan for Wellfleet: Green prepared a draft of a local

comprehensive plan for the next five years as per the discussion at the previous

WEC meeting. The matrix was discussed and revisions were suggested. Green will

prepare draft to be reviewed at the next WEC meeting.

Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) Progress: Elkin will follow up with

company that the town of Bourne entered into a PPA with.

Correspondence: None

Green Communities Next Grant: No updates

Website Review: Overview of website and goals for future additions provided for

committee alternates.

Cape Light Compact Restructuring Update: Elkin stated that five towns have

agree to sign a Joint Powers Agreement with the Cape Light Compact.

New Business: Next WEC meeting is scheduled for April 19th.

Old Business: Overview of WEC past and current programs and projects provided

for alternate members. Cole stated he would write the minutes from the January

meeting.

Motion: Tash moved to adjourn the meeting. Cole seconded. The motion carried

5-0. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
