Initially DPW said they would clear remaining trees on Oak Ave Extended and Section F as available from September 30 on; until Cemetery Comm. hires someone to complete clear cut. NOW however they are asking for $7,000 or purchase of a new lawn mower.

4. Discussion of restoration work by Bob DeVaney.

David will ask Bob when he will be coming back to Wellfleet (meeting OysterFest weekend or early November) but not 10/21 weekend.

-Duck Creek: the status of the headstones still on the ground/on pallets?
Projection from him on
- how many more he thinks he will set up this summer
- identifying the ones that he thinks are not worth the time, energy, and money to repair and set up (and whether he agrees the best thing to do is rebury them, or what?)

The ones that are beyond repair, we will document (photo) them and rebury them in their official space with a numbered stake marker of PT; instead of leaving them above ground?

5. David gave a tour and recap of meeting with Arbor Committee for update on progress with walking

Section F

We will consider their suggestion about planting some trees and other vegetation in Section E after we have had it surveyed and 40x40 plot sections marked.

Discussed their suggestion regarding alternatives to straight grid lines for section roads but tabled it due to limited land etc.

6. All caught up with Fougere. He doesn’t owe us any markers.

Status with all of  our corner marker orders with John at this time?
Current count on corner markers we have, have paid for, waiting for/need

From Fougere he owes us 20 markers and to be placed

From CC Stone, they owe us 4 engraved for a Robicheau plot in Oakdale

7.  Nancy reported $220 to date in donations to Friends of Cemetery fund. Friends of Wellfleet Cemeteries through the Cemetery Commissioners will send out thank you letters

8. Cemetery commission (Richard Robicheau) will place barriers in front of Oakdale Cemetery entrances during OysterFest to prevent “in-cemetery” parking.

POSTPONED David requested future discussion on legal and historical boundaries of cemetery re: discussion about other uses for land (affordable housing)

Future business    -look at Oakdale for available plots like north of Dinsmore to Middle Street and #144

-Bonnie will work on draft for historical signage at Boudreau and Duck Creek Cemeteries
