Attended by Bonnie Robicheau, Nancy Vail, David Agger Guest: Dwight Estey, Approved minutes from December 8, 2016   NEW BUSINESS  1. Reviewed old business: a.December meeting with new Town Manager to bring him up to speed on Commission charge, plans, successes and challenges -Proposed experimental new “gift fund,” as option to 501C3 status the “Gift Fund” we discussed with the TA in the Fall was approved.  Discussed getting an insert in the Fall tax bill. Approved by Select Board January 11, 2017 meeting. Discussion regarding where donations will be put (Town accounts, separate savings account). -Explored lines of communication and Relationship between CC and other Town Departments -TM will no longer take funds for DPW seasonal workers (cemetery lawn mowing) from perpetual care account -TM discussed investing funds in a better more productive money market account to increase returns vs risk (talk with Seamans or CC5) b. Reviewed success with CPC and upcoming Town vote on May 1 for $34, 162.00 for FY 2017-2018 2.  Dwight Estey came to the meeting to discuss the Wellfleet Historical Society (WHS) plan for Cemetery tours. He approached David Agger prior to this meeting and requested permission from the Cemetery Commission to bring the public in and lead tours this summer at Pleasant Hill and Oakdale. . Initially he did a dry run using 50 names it took him hour and 50 minutes (he will reduce it) He shared Ptown booklet. First summer tour will be Pleasant Hill/Oakdale. Thinking about biweekly(4pm times)during the summer Next year theywould do Duck Creek. WHS would use their standard fee as with their walking tour He will be holding a trial run on May 5 from 9-11am and would like us to attend to give input and feedback Discussed parking issues 3. Spring Clean Up Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 9-Noon, Rain Date Saturday, May 27, 2017 Focus on PH/Oakdale and overflow at DC and clean up of holiday decorations, branches and limbs Bonnie will ask Bob Devaney about how can we help with the restoration of headstones identified and protected at Duck Creek? Duties: Americorps-David Codder/Banner, Website-Nancy Refreshments-David Churches-Bonnie Signs and PSA’s-Bonnie DPW-Nancy 4. talk about getting donations (Todd and Mignon Barry want to donate money for stone restorations) Bonnie will follow up with them. 5. Vandalism this past winter             Discussed possibilities for incidents: faulty repairs, vandalism or both.             - Dawn and Donna Rickman discussed their observations including Donna’s             documentation of fallen and damaged headstones; using “findagrave.com             They are concerned about the priorities for expending money, decision making process             or prioritizing triage.             Commissioners requested recommendations for names of other crafts people for repairs             nd restoration.             Bob Devaney has been informed and has promised to make good on repairs.             Discussed and approved idea of limiting/ceasing the lawn mowing at Duck Creek             Cemetery to avoid. continued damage to headstones. Nancy will contact DPW with this             decision. 6. Affordable Housing needs-Nancy will get plot map and find out about any existing restrictions on land, how Town  allocates transfer of land from one department to another. 7. Discussed inviting Joan Carstanjen (508-896-8796) , who is one of the Brewster Cemetery Commissioners. She is happy to meet with us in the Spring when we are all back in Wellfleet to discuss their success with designating a section of one of their cemeteries for burials for those interested in not using a concrete vault. She also told me that she is working with a group to erect a columbarium in a private cemetery in Brewster. We will meet again May 11 at 2pm to finalize  clean up and hear from Brewster Cemetery Commissioner. Minutes reported by David Agger Meeting adjourned at 3:25pm
