Town of Wellfleet-Hydrant Flushing

Good morning.

The Town of Wellfleet will be conducting water flushing for the hydrants on Friday November 24^th between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.

Please make arrangements to limit your water use during this period. During the flushing process, residents may notice a slight discoloration and fluctuations in their water pressure. Please set aside drinking water, and avoid activities like doing laundry.

The purpose of flushing is to minimize the build-up of minerals and other sediments, and it allows the department to verify the fire hydrants are working properly.

Please run your water approximately five minutes after the flushing time until it runs clear.

*Note: Town Hall will be closed Thursday November 23^rd and Friday November 24^th. For non-life threatening emergencies, please call WhiteWater at 508-864-0487.
