March 6, 2018 at 6:00 PM

Members Present: Chair, Justina Carlson; Jim Hood; Neil Gadwa; Catharie Nass; Curt Felix

Others Present: Amy Roberts of Harding Lane; Jude Ahern; Gail Ferguson

Cost of Service-

Resident Amy Roberts is present to request information on possibly connecting to Town water at 15 Harding Lane, and if so what the process would be.

Hood mentioned that he didn’t want Roberts to run into opposition if there was a desire to connect, and the Water Commissioners advised Roberts to speak with her neighbors and look into cost with her engineering firm. Gadwe offered to research whether there was a curb stop and what Robert’s options would be.

Leak-Recap (30 Kendrick Avenue)-The Board reviewed the photos taken by WhiteWater of 30 Kendrick Avenue and will follow up with the cottage colony manager and plumber for further details. The Board would like to develop specific requirements for winterization, and have input from WhiteWater. The Board will continue the discussion to a future meeting.

Wastewater and Water Commission Warrant Article: Scott Horsley of the Horsley-Witten Group and Curt Felix wrote a description for the proposed professional hire for Town Administrator, Dan Hoort’s review. Chair Carlson mentioned that Horsley will possibly present for the professional hire.

Resident Jude Ahern was present and asked the Board members how all the parts work, and stated the job description and should be clear. Hood responded that it is too soon for the Water Commissioners to respond on the hiring process, but suggested it could be prepared through the Town Manager. Chair Carlson said there is a detailed description for review by other  Boards and Committees.

Gail Ferguson offered ideas on how to present the new hire to the Town. She mentioned that the Water Commissioners the position isn’t isn’t open-ended forever, and voters might be comfortable if they know it’s a forever-vote.

Discussion Coles Neck Road-Tabled to a future meeting.
