The Board needs information from Executive Assistant, Michaela Miteva. Nass said the Board needs baseline data, then follow-up data. They will research and continue the discussion in the future.
Recap-Meeting with the Board of Selectmen
The Board of Water Commissioners discussed how their information regarding system management presented before the Board of Selectmen was perceived, and agreed it was a productive session. They discussed what will be their next step in the process of a professional hire vs a consultant, and what qualifications/skill sets would be required.
They considered how the position will be shared with the Comprehensive Wastewater Management Planning Committee. A position description might be premature and requirements that need to be met by the Board and the Committee should be discussed before a skill set is determined. Nass suggested meeting with outside sources to gain different perspectives. Felix said that he had been working with Scott Horsley from the Horsley Witten Group, that he might be a good resource to consult with, and would like to request that he attend the Board’s August 1 meeting.
They also discussed what the process would be to have a warrant article, and Carlson said she will research the procedure and timeline for either November or April. The Board will continue the conversation at future meetings.
