Chair called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
I.Farm Animal Permits- No farm animal permits
II.Variances-
- Siegel-210 Baker Avenue, (Assessor’s Map 14, Parcel 183)
David Lajoie of Felco Engineering presented, as requested in the letter of August 15, 2017, FELCO, Inc. Plan #17040, dated July 17, 2017, two variances for the upgrade of a septic system under an existing dwelling owned by Susan Siegel at 210 Baker Avenue (Map 14, Parcel 183):
- 6’+ from existing septic tank to cellar wall-310 CMR 15.211
- 11’+ from existing leach area to cellar well
The Board members discussed the need for the proposed new foundation under the existing dwelling, which would require a variance when no variance currently exists.
Picariello moved to not approve the plan #17040 dated July 17, 2017, and in favor of leaving it on piers.
Seconded by Janet Drohan
The motion carried 3-0-1.

IV.Business
- Proposed Revisions to Board of Health Regulations Section 1000: Solid Waste Transfer Station, Section 4000: Tobacco Control, and Section 8000: Fee Schedule.
The members reviewed the Board of Health’s Regulations, last amended in May 2016. They discussed the possible changes, to be determined at a public hearing held on October 11, 2017.
